Create an Efficient Schedule to Help you Prospect to Expired Listings

Well, one thing that will be a great help to you is to get in the habit of scheduling out your week. Plan and carve out time for prospecting each week! Build in these habits and it won’t feel like something extra you need to do on top of all the other tasks and work you have on your plate.

Step 1: Plan to plan

Set aside time to create your schedule for each week. Don’t wait until Monday morning rolls around to create your plan for the week. You’re already using up valuable time then that you could have spent accomplishing tasks. Instead, block out time Friday afternoons to go ahead and set up your schedule for the following week.

Step 2: Prioritize your down time

Next, you want to ensure you protect your down time, time with family and friends, and time for your health and wellbeing. One way to prioritize this is to build it into your schedule. Start from the ground up building out your schedule. Block time off for family, friends, and wellness. Let’s say you like to go to the gym or a yoga class a few times a week. Put that in your schedule. Write in the weekly dinner with friends. Or include the times you take your kids to practices or spend quality time together. Lastly, once those items are all set in your schedule, add in weekly work tasks. For example, block out the time you already spend in meetings with your brokerage, calls nurturing leads, and meetings with current clients. Once you have all that, add in times to prospect to expired listings. Break things down by task. One hour might be finding leads.
