Selling Expired Listings Through Organized Bathrooms

Bathrooms are one of the main selling points of a property. Point blank, they’re make or break. In order to make sure the bathrooms win over your buyers in your expired listings, here’s some organizational golden rules to follow:

Cleanliness

The first aspect of a bathroom people will notice is the sanitation. Make sure to not only have given the bathroom a good wipe down prior to showing the listing, but also make sure the trash can is empty and cleaning products are stored away under the sink. The goal is to make the bathroom appear as though it’s brand new because buyers love newness.

Functional Space

Storage space in bathrooms is important. Living in Brooklyn and Manhattan, your space needs to be able to portray that it is in fact larger than it really is. Buyers will be opening drawers to see how much room is available, so make sure to only have drawers and cupboard space one third-one half filled. On top of not filling the space up, make sure each item has its own space. Hair ties and smaller trinkets should be kept in stylish boxes or baskets to keep the appeal factor.

Clear Counters

To make the bathroom appear both larger and cleaner, make sure the counter is clear of all toiletries. Counter space is a luxury, so maximizing all square footage of it is extremely necessary. Keep cosmetics hidden away in drawer space and only leave soap and a hand towel out.

Add Plants

Real flowers and plants will make the space come alive. Plants also have many health benefits (improves air quality, reduces stress, etc.)  which will increase the overall perception of the room.
